Jamie McKenzie-Naish, BA, BEd, MA (Museum Studies)
Associate Museum Specialist
Ms. McKenzie-Naish is an Associate Museum Consultant with Letourneau Heritage Consultants Inc. She is a museum educator and formally trained classroom teacher, with specialist knowledge in learning, resource development, and program/project management. With over 14 years in the museum and learning sectors, she has worked in a variety of museum contexts, with a variety of collections, as well as learning audiences and groups, in both Canada and the United Kingdom. She is committed to enhancing the quality of museum experience and cultural engagement through creative collaboration, coordination and innovation.
Jamie is currently a PhD Candidate in Cultural Studies at Queen’s University. Her research considers the emancipatory possibilities of the post-museum as it emerges from the intersection of public pedagogy, policy and professional practice. She has formerly worked with the Military Communications and Electronics Museum (Kingston, ON), Leicester Arts and Museums Learning Service (UK), MacLachlan Woodworking Museum (Kingston, ON), and Union Gallery (Queen’s University).
